Taste Riverina Top Plates

Are you passionate about eating and buying authentic Riverina food?

Part of the TASTE Riverina Food Festival, Riverina Top Plates aims to put Riverina food producers on menus throughout the region.

Every day for the month of October, Knights will offer a three-course menu of deli take-home treats, all of them inspired by Riverina produce.

Entrees

Saltbush Lamb (Sandigo), Knights own relish and Manchego Cheese pressed between slices of Knights house-made foccacia bread

Knights All-Day Breakfast filled with Hampden Bridge streaky bacon (Knights Own), roasted potatoes, Crowleys Smoke n Fire hot sauce (Wagga), scrambled Holbrook Eggs and cheddar cheese, between toasted Artisan Baker Country Grain bread (Wagga)

 

 

Mains

Pastie – Arcadia Saltbush Lamb (Sandigo) marinated in rosemary and slow roasted for 14 hours, mixed with Knights Own Caramelized Onions and encased with Whispering Pines Spelt Pastry (Barellan)

Croquette – Shredded Hampden Bridge Ham (Knights Own) bound with chicken mousse and Coolamon Cheese crumbed in Artisan Baker Baguette (Wagga) crumbs, fried until golden

 

 

 

Desserts

Rice Pudding – Randals Short Grain Rice (Murrami) spiced with cinnamon and cloves, cooked slowly in a mix of cream and milk, served with Batlow Apples Compote

Blueberry Cheesecake Tartlet – Sweet pastry tartlets filled with a Jolly Berries Conserve (Tumbarumba) infused with cheesecake mousse and topped with glazed blueberries
